AS International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC's), we hold the most highly regarded qualification in breastfeeding knowledge and support, recognised around the world.

We are pleased to be able to offer both face to face consultations and, if you prefer, on-line consultations. Our support is on-going, meaning that we will continue to be here to guide you for as long as you need us.

Meet The Team

Welcome to Breastfeeding Midlands. We are 2 International Board Certified Lactation Consultants supporting breastfeeding mothers, and families, across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire and The Welsh Borders.

With a wide range of professional qualifications, including in midwifery, health visiting, neo-natal

and sick childrens nursing, Rebecca and Pippa are both skilled healthcare professionals able to

draw upon many years of practical experience to provide expert support to both mothers and

fathers at all times throughout your baby's early years.

We appreciate that breastfeeding is not always easy and sometimes you need a little extra

reassurance and help to achieve your breastfeeding goals. Working together, we can give

you professional, practical information and one to one support in a caring, sensitive

manner to support you on your breastfeeding journey.

Why Choose Us

As qualified Lactation Consultants we are able to provide specialist and practical support to help overcome any breast-feeding challenges that you may experience during the first few weeks and months following your baby's arrival. Unfortunately, there are many people who call themselves “Breastfeeding Specialists/Breastfeeding Consultants/Babyfeeding  Specialists” without holding any valid credentials. Breastfeeding counsellors have substantial breastfeeding training and must belong to an accredited organisation. However, Lactation Consultants have the most extensive, evidence-based, and up-to-date knowledge. Please take the time to look at the link below to see the differences between "Breastfeeding Supporters" in order to seek the most appropriate help.
